Born Albert Chambers Jr. on October 5^th, 1967, the son of Albert Chambers Senior, a Bebop singer for a vocal group based out of Boston Massachusetts named The Dappers (Epic Records, Peacock Records).
In the late 80′s, Albi found himself working in all facades of the music industry. From co-hosting a Local Montreal television show in the late 80′s called Rock Stage, Record Retail in N.Y.C. and Montreal, Music instrument Retail at Steve’s Music, and lots of Bass, Vocal, and Guitar session work for TV shows such as: ‘Are You Afraid Of The Dark’, ‘Arthur’, ‘Spaced Out’, ‘Night of the Demons’ and countless commercials for successful, Emmy nominated TV music writer Raymond Fabi.

Since then for the past 14 years, Albert has been running and operating what is now known to be a first call rehearsal studios called ‘Studio Base Bin’ in Montreal. Because of the success of the studios, this has given Albert the time to dedicate to songwriting and producing, Albert created Sweet Albi Productions for independent and signed acts.
He has also been featured recently in national trade magazines such as, ‘Professional Sound ,Canadian Musician and Muzic Etc, writing alongside some music heavyweights, such as Michael McCarty (Sara Mclaughlin), Randy Bachman and many others, giving tips on how to avoid the pitfalls of the music industry.

  Albi has had the chance to work alongside some very interesting people such as, Gary Sinise (Forest Gump, Apollo 13), Queen Latifah, Moist (Canadian multi-platinum band), and David Usher. He also played bass and guitar on a theme song for a Cartoon called ‘Buster’, featuring Wyclef Jean on vocals.
Albi continues to do production work and write for people such as Amy Powers (Barbra Streisand), The Pinup Saints, Grand Motel, Coral Egan

Today, CYSR signs Chambers to head the production of Season 2 winners CHAIR WARIORS and will most likely have a seat on the Judges table should Season 3 kick off. ” About a month ago, I was at the BASEBIN meeting up with Sam Roberts before he left to Chicago with the band to record his new album when Albert called me into his office. Can Your School Rock’s newest addition to the Judging panel and world renown drummer Paul Lizzi pumped the giant crowd at the circuit (pounding away at our  very own CYSR drumkit!) and electrifying them when performing his world release single Drum Luvin’. Season 1 kings Basement Superheroes astonished the race fans with their single Cry Baby. Season 2′s runner up Corrosion was also on deck as a supporting act. Jessica Loren dazzled the crowd with a brilliant set and the newly crowned season 2 winners the Chair Warriors, returning to the live stage for the first time since the competition came to an end, closed the show.

Supporting acts include Corrosion, CYSR judge and world-renowned drummer Paul Lizzi and Jessica Loren backed by CYSR stars Fred DiSanto and Sandro Mauro. This will be louder than the F1 event! Tickets are now available at your local box office.

Similar to last season, Luciano Masciotra of Lucky Graphix has been hard at work producing visual material to be showcased at staged events in Toronto and Montreal venues hosting the competition.

Can Your School Rock is the ultimate Battle of the Bands competition for the newest generation of up-and-coming rock stars. Band members are not required to attend the same school to compete, and the competition is open to all genres of music in English or French.

This event spans both private and public schools across the Quebec, Ontario and the Tri-State area. Young bands are encouraged to enter the competition and show their stuff to our four-judge panel. Auditions and concerts will take place during the second semester. The top eight finalists selected will then have a golden opportunity; recording an album with CYSR management overseen by a renowned executive producer. In addition, the winning band will receive $10,000 in brand-new music equipment provided by Steve’s Music Store, a music video proudly sponsored by State Farm® and a $20,000 scholarship by the Trebas Institute.

Each of the eight band finalists will record one song that will be placed on an album that will be showcased and sold in all the participating schools and local music retailers at the beginning of the following school year.

So clear your throat, gather up your jacks, polish those axes and get ready to take part in the coolest high school contest ever.
